FIRST STEP IS GETTING INTERNET WORKING

  1. Click Start
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select Connections
  4. Select Connections from the the sub-menus
  5. Select Manage Existing Connections on the sub-menus
  6. Enter TNM APN i.e. Name for Connection: tnm
    Access Point Name (APN) internet or internet2
  7. Click Finish (DO NOT PUT ANY USER NAMES OR PASSWORDS HERE)
  8. Exit all Windows/Menus and Sub-Menus

SECOND STEP IS ENABLING DATA EXCHANGE

  1. Click Start
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select Connections
  4. Select Communications Manager
  5. Switch ON Phone, Data Connection and Microsoft Direct Push (this one in case of customers with Exchange servers)
  6. Exit this Menus and all sub-menus

THIRD STEP IS CREATING EMAIL ACCOUNTS

  1. Click Start









  2. Select Messaging






  3. Click on Set-Up Email






  4. Take note of spellings and letter casesĀ  e.g. PpLmH



Configurations for Exchange Clients

  • Click Start
  • Go to Programs
  • Select ActiveSync
  • Click on Menu
  • Select Configure Server on the Sub Menus
  • Key-in the server address
  • Enter User name and password (same details that are used on desktops and laptops for Outlook mail)
  • Check/tick the boxes for Contacts, Calendar, Email and Tasks
  • Click Finish
