Teacher wins Tikolore laptop

Gonneck Pyamdziko, a teacher at Makanga Comumunity Day Secondary School in Chikhwawa, became the latest person to win a laptop in the TNM Mtolo 20 Tikolore Promotion.

Pyamdziko beat about 1.6 million other entries. The teacher, who is studying for a degree in Education at Domasi College, could not hide his happiness at the news in a telephone interview. He said the prize has come at the right time.

"I have been missing a laptop computer for a long time. It will help me a lot in my studies, especially now that I am studying for a degree," he said.

Speaking at the draw conducted on 17 May 2011 in Blantyre, TNM products manager Sobhuza Ngwenya said the response to the promotion keeps growing.

"This week's draw had a four percent increase and this means the promotion is still drawing a lot of enthusiasm from participants in terms of entries," he said.
