TNM held its first quarterly golf mug for this year on Saturday, 6th February at Blantyre Sports Club in which close to a hundred golfers competed. By the end of the day, it was Darvlin Chokazinga who scooped the top prize in men’s category taking home a trophy mug and a Nokia 5230 handset. Franco Banda and Nando Di Carlofelice secured the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. They took home Nokia X3 and Nokia 7210 handsets in the same order.

In the ladies category it was Carol Banda who took the number one position with a nett of 79 while A. Muggletine came second. During the prize presentation ceremony, TNM’s Head of Commercial Charles Kamoto thanked the golfers for an impressive turn up at the tournament. He said that this was very encouraging putting into consideration that this was the first TNM Mug for the year. Kamoto also seized the opportunity and gave a brief introduction on the 3.5 G technology, TNM’s newest value added service. He highlighted that with 3G one can watch live television, make video calls, and surf the internet at remarkable speeds.

Every year TNM organizes quarterly golf tournaments in Blantyre and Lilongwe as one way of providing a platform with which to interact with its corporate clients.
