Roaming Made Simple with TNM’s Pre-Paid Roaming!

Roaming Countries (Prepaid Roaming)

Currently TNM Prepaid Customers can use their numbers in Tanzania (Vodacom); Belgium (Mobistar and Base) and Turkey (Avea), RSA (Vodacom and Cell C). TNM’s target is to be covered in all SADC countries and all major operators before the end of 2010 first quarter.

If you are able to top-up your phone with recharge vouchers then your phone is a Prepaid Number
All customers on Prepaid are eligible to use their numbers on all networks that TNM has Prepaid Roaming Agreement. Check the list of all Prepaid Roaming Partners below

Prepaid Roaming Service Activation

Prepaid customers do not need to activate roaming on their numbers. The service is activated by default. Therefore there is no need for any configuration on prepaid numbers for activation of the service.
The service is only available on specific networks and in specific countries.

It is advisable that customers have enough credit on their numbers to enjoy the service on these networks

Activation

There is no need for any configuration on Prepaid numbers for activation of the roaming service. Once a TNM Customer visits a particular network (customer on roaming), network of the roaming partner will automatically pick-up.

In case the network is not available, then the customer needs to scan/search the networks manually and choose a TNM roaming partner; for example Vodacom in Tanzania.

For illustration using a basic phone, network can be searched by doing the following >>>

“Go to Menu > then Settings > Phone Settings > Network > Operator Selection( manual ) < then chose operator e.g. Vodacom Tanzania

Top Up

The normal recharge instructions apply

• Direct Top Up > *111*recharge pin number #
• Direct Recharge > *112*phone number*recharge pin #
• Me2U >  *113*0000*airtime*receiver’s number # OK  
• Customer can only recharge with TNM recharge vouchers

Balance Enquiry

The normal balance enquiry #123# applies.

Tariff

• The same rates as Post-Paid apply. The rates differ according to the operator/ Destination.
• Please take note customers will be charged 77 units in all countries/operators when receiving a call.
