About the Newly Launched TNM Super league

tnm is the proud sponsor of the biggest Football League in Malawi. It started to sponsor the league in 2005, with an unprecedented MK150 million initial three year contract. This time around TNM has bounced back with a whooping MK180 million three year contract starting 28th June 2009.

Football is a game of passion, the most loved sport in the world and Malawi is no exception. It is a game for all. We believe that with carefully crafted sponsorship, we will make a difference to the standards of football in Malawi and touch the Malawians’ lives in ways that will make positive impact socially and economically.

The tnm sponsorship has restored confidence to sponsors and indeed the soccer fans. The corporate world had shied away from football sponsorship, which was characterised by hooliganism and violence. There was sponsorship drought for over three years before tnm came in in 2005. We believe this has motivated other sponsors to support lower leagues and other cups. The sponsorship has also seen tremendous increase in patronage in local football games.
