July 21 2009
It was all green in the capital city on 18th July as TNM stormed all areas within and around the city in a Super League activation campaign.
People in Lilongwe were given a treat as TNM handed out t-shirts, golf shirts, and tickets for Civo United v. MTL Wanderers match that was taking place the same day. Almost all the areas in the capital city were stormed by the TNM crew.
By 2:30 pm, right before kick-off at Civo Stadium where the game was, thousands of people had gathered to witness the much publicized event.
“Am here to watch the big match, but I was attracted by the morning events that highlighted that there are other events happening here”, said one of the patrons referring to the various activities that TNM have been lining up at football games.
Black Missionaries, a popular local reggae band took center stage before the match, at half time and after the game.
“We have lined up a number of activities throughout the super league that are aimed at recalling the glory of local soccer”, said TNMs PR Executive Mphatso Chaluluka, adding that football is a game of the people and TNM believes in giving back to its customers.
